A person with more than one passion, I have been blessed with the opportunities to follow my dreams down more than just one, path . . .

My interest in ethnobotany and medicinal plants led me into the academic/research world where I received my PhD from the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) studying the Medical Ethnobotany of Laos.

My passion for writing compelled me to write – My first novel, Heart of Blue, was completed (edits and all) in the fall of 2006.
