Ethnobotany
tree

Ethnobotany is the study of how people
use plants

Ethnobotanical studies can concentrate
on various aspects of how plants are
used: food, shelter, tools, clothing,
hunting, medicine, for religious rituals,
etc.
My ethnobotanical studies focused on how
various communities throughout the country of Laos used plants to treat diseases (Medical Ethnobotany of Laos)
This research was performed during my time as a graduate student in the Pharmacognosy Department at the University of Illinois at Chicago
See the links for more information on ethnobotany in general
